The Community Service Fund is used to account for activities that are not elementary or secondary educational programs, but which have the primary function of serving the community. Transactions are accounted for in Fund 80. The District adopts a separate tax levy to support these activities.

The Whitnall School District levies taxes to support the supervision of community residents using the District facilities, primarily the high school weight room.

The total cost of $16,787 is supported by user fees for facility rentals ($2,038) and a tax levy ($14,749). The proposed levy is the same as last year as required by Wisconsin Act 20, which also requires the posting of this notice on the District's webpage.

These uses fall within the guidelines established by Statute for a community services fund.
